Donald Lewandowski

Growing up on the South side of Chicago, near Midway Airport, Don was almost predestined to work in the aviation field. At the age of 13, Don was introduced to flying by his Uncle who was an pilot for Eastern Airlines, and was instantly infatuated with aviation. Shortly thereafter, Done started an aircraft washing company Dons Aircraft Wash and by the age of 16 he had saved up enough funds to buy a Cessna 150, in which he made his first solo flight on his 16 birthday. This was followed by his acquiring his Private Pilot License on his 17th birthday, followed by his Commercial Pilot License on his 18th birthday, and finally becoming jet rated at the age of 20.

In 1976, he attended St. Louis University Parks College and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Administration. While still attending college, he and a friend started a 135 freight company "Eagle Air Charter" with a Cherokee Six out of Arrowhead Airport (02K) near St. Louis with 2,700 foot strip. Flying strictly at night (after school) with the revenues of the Cherokee Six, they bought an Aztec, then two Beech 18s to supply the automotive industry with air freighted parts in the Midwest and Southern Canada to keep the production lines open.

In 1980, after college, Don began a career in business aircraft sales with AMI (Aircraft Marketing Inc) a division of CMI (Computer Marketing Inc) in Troy, Michigan as Chief Pilot of turboprop and small jet aircraft. After his first year, he joined the marketing team and in 1981 to 1983 they purchased and leased $50,000,000.00 worth of aircrafts. Along with being the Aircraft Sales Manager for Rockwell Aircraft Sales/Turbo Commander Division for the Midwest, in 1984, he bought into Maxfly Aviation in Naples, FL becoming Vice President. In 1996 he bought out the remaining stockholders, became President and under his direction Mayfly Aviation in 28 years of business has weathered many economic cycles in Aviation and has become one of the most experienced and leading business aircraft trading companies in the World.

Don, and his wife Annette have lived in South Florida for the last 28 years, and currently reside in Weston, FL. They have three children, two of which are currently attending Fairfield University college in Connecticut. He and his family are actively involved in their church and community, and also enjoy boating, fishing, and snow skiing.
